Terms of Sale

Last updated: 27 July 2026 · Eighteen · Canvas

These terms cover the Canvas website, waitlist, and (when available) paid licenses. Product by Eighteen. Contact: hello@eighteenhq.com.

1. Website & waitlist

Joining the waitlist is free. You agree to provide a real email address you control. We may remove abusive or fake signups. Waitlist access does not guarantee a free license, beta seat, or launch date.

2. The product

Canvas is a macOS menu-bar app for desktop widgets. It is distributed as a Developer ID–signed download (not Mac App Store), with updates via Sparkle when that pipeline is live. Features that depend on third parties (for example Codex / Sign in with ChatGPT, or APIs you configure) remain subject to those providers’ terms and billing.

3. Paid licenses (when checkout is live)

When we enable paid purchase, checkout is processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Your payment agreement with Paddle applies to billing, invoices, and applicable sales tax / VAT / GST on the transaction.

Free tier: You may use Canvas with up to three widgets on the canvas without paying. Canvas Pro ($5 USD one-time, billed by Paddle) unlocks more than three on-canvas widgets for your account/seat.

4. Refunds

Refund requests for paid licenses follow Paddle’s buyer policies and any window we publish on the pricing page at purchase time. Contact hello@eighteenhq.com (and Paddle support if they bill you) promptly if something is wrong with delivery or charging.

5. Disclaimer

Canvas is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Eighteen disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that agent-built widgets will be correct or safe for every environment. You are responsible for shell commands and credentials you run through widgets.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Eighteen’s total liability arising from the site, waitlist, or a Canvas license is limited to the amount you paid us for that license in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you have not paid). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost data, or lost profits.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Canvas or the site to violate law, harm others’ systems, or bypass security. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer license checks or redistribute cracked builds.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the product ships. Material changes for paid customers will be noted by updating the date above and, where practical, a site notice. Continued use of the site or app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
